If you’re looking for a new machine to take on your indoor and outdoor R/C adventures, the FMS FCX24 Lemur might be a solid match. Based on the FCX24 platform, this 1/24-scale rock crawler/bouncer/racer, looks like it’s ready for just about anything it comes across.
The folks at FMS were kind enough to send me one of these small-scale machines to take a closer look at, and I took that opportunity to give it a quick overview and outdoor shakedown.
I’ve become a fan of the FCX24 platform, and this little machine shows quite a bit for promise. Crawling performance is good, but there were a few areas where other FCX24 models excelled, so I have some plans to tune my Lemur up a bit and see if that improves things.

Scaling the F-150 body down to 1/18-scale, you’ll find plenty of detail on this rig from bumper to bumper. Available in brown, blue, and black, the TRX-4M Ford F-150 High Trail includes chrome-plated details like the grille, door handles, side mirrors, rollbar, and bumpers.
Not much has changed under the body, as the TRX-4M Ford F-150 High Trail Edition uses a ladder frame, a four-link suspension setup, a 180-size 87T brushed motor, and a 2S LiPo battery. Like it’s old-school pickup truck partner, this rig features a longer wheelbase (162mm/6.4in) compared to the TRX-4M Bronco and Defender (155mm/6.10in).
A 1/18-scale Long Arm Lift Kit is pre-installed to give this truck a lifted visual look and help improve ground clearance. Also assisting with the increased ground clearance are this rig’s larger 2.4″ (outer diameter) tires. Finally, chrome-plated multi-hole wheels cap off the classic appearance of this truck.

Fair RC has announced another new modded R/C machine, turning their attention to one of the stars of Stranger Things (that is if you’re a car and truck fanatic). The FCX24 K5 Blazer “Hopper’s Car” Mod is a solid replica of the 1980 K5 Blazer driven by David Harbour’s character, Jim Hopper, in the Stranger Things series.
While not 100% correct, this FCX24 K5 Blazer features a brown and tan paint job along with several decals inspired by Hopper’s K5 Blazer. The decals are pre-applied, so you won’t need to do any customization (unless you want to).
