FMS FLUSH30 1/64 FPV R/C Car

FMS, has announced the release of its second 1/64, ultra-micro R/C car, the FLUSH30 RTR with FPV. This 1/64-scale radio-controlled car follows in the tiny tire tracks of the ALU35, and offers a fresh spin on micro R/C action.

The FLUSH30 has a BMW-inspired body style and includes such scale details as side mirrors and a rear wing. Three body colors are available to choose from (gray, black, and white), so you can run multiple models simultaneously and tell them apart.

FMS Launches the FCX24 Unimog 421

FMS has been firing on all cylinders when it comes to end-of-the-year releases. Adding to its FCX24 lineup, they have announced the FCX24 Unimog 421. This marks their second unimog release, scaling down their previous 1/18 Mogrich into a slightly more compact package.

Based on the FCX24 platform, this utility-focused rig should have no problem climbing over obstacles and traversing tricky terrain. Featuring an officially-licensed Mercedes-Benz Unimog 421 bodyset, this tiny trail truck boasts an easy-to-remove body, LED lights, and an opening hood for added visual realism. Three body color options are available (red, green, and gray), letting you pick one (or more) that suit your style.

In terms of performance, the FCX24 Unimog 421 features portal axles for improved ground clearance, a sporty 130-size brushed motor, two-speed transmission, and “tractor style” tires.

Losi LMT Mini 4×4 Brushed Monster Truck

Name a more dynamic duo than the R/C hobby and monster trucks. It’s ok, I’ll wait… All joking aside, it can be hard to separate the two, but why would you want to do that? In recent years, monster trucks have been making a comeback in the hobby, especially in the world of small-scale R/C machines.

While we’ve seen several 1/24-scale models released in the last 12 months, there hasn’t been much in the way of 1/18-scale models (until now). Following the release of ARRMA’s 1/18 Grom Mega Monster Truck, Losi is joining the fun with its 1/18 LMT 4×4 Brushed Monster Truck. With true-to-life details and a robust chassis, this truck looks like it can provide serious fun for fans of 1:1 monster truck action.

Similar in style to their larger LMT 4×4, this smaller-scale variant features scale visual details that are paired with a durable chassis. Highlights of the 1/18 LMT 4×4 include metal front and rear diffs, aluminum suspension links, threaded oil-filled shocks, and aluminum chassis plates.

First Drive: FMS FCX24 Lemur [Video]

The FCX24 Lemur is the latest small-scale crawler from FMS. The FCX24 lineup has a strong following, and time will tell if the Lemur can gain the same level of popularity as its stablemates.

The fine folks at FMS sent me a Lemur to kick the tires on, so I naturally had to turn it loose on my front-yard crawling course. While it struggled in some areas, it proved to be a fun and capable little machine that’s ripe for customization and tuning.

If you’re looking for a new machine to take on your indoor and outdoor R/C adventures, the FMS FCX24 Lemur might be a solid match. Based on the FCX24 platform, this 1/24-scale rock crawler/bouncer/racer, looks like it’s ready for just about anything it comes across.

The folks at FMS were kind enough to send me one of these small-scale machines to take a closer look at, and I took that opportunity to give it a quick overview and outdoor shakedown.

I’ve become a fan of the FCX24 platform, and this little machine shows quite a bit for promise. Crawling performance is good, but there were a few areas where other FCX24 models excelled, so I have some plans to tune my Lemur up a bit and see if that improves things.
