Axial SCX30 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro
Who's ready for a new SCX30 release? The folks at Axial have introduced a new licensed body for its micro R/C crawler, and it's sure to delight a large segment of hobbyists and 1:1 trail fanatics alike.
The Axial SCX30 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro is the latest SCX30 model to hit the scene, and it's not only based on the popular, capable SCX30 platform, but it also has a few new scale tricks up its sleeve. While two color options are available (tan and green), each version is set up a bit differently.
The tan SCX30 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro features an overland adventure setup that includes a roof rack, bull-bar-style front bumper, and trail-ready 1/30-scale Yokohama Geolandar tires.
If you want a rig ready to tackle trickier terrain, consider the green SCX30 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, outfitted with a low-profile front bumper, fender delete, and slightly larger-diameter licensed BFG Krawler tires. This version won't include a roof rack or scale accessories, making it a solid option for crawler-focused hobbyists.
The 1/30 Toyota Tacoma body features a two-piece design with integrated light buckets, just like the original SCX30 models. The SCX30 chassis is also very similar to the original Jeep Wrangler, Ford Bronco, and Chevy K10 models, with one difference.
The Toyota Tacoma model has a longer wheelbase than its predecessors, which will slightly change its driving characteristics.
