Bling for Betty: Treal Adds Green Aluminum Upgrades for the Axial SCX24 B-17 Betty

By: Tim Gluth

Axial's recently-released SCX24 B17 Betty is certainly an interesting machine. Commemorating their 35th anniversary, this small-scale rig is a throwback to one of the first 1/10-scale R/C crawlers produced by Axial. Whether you view it as a collectible or your next 1/24-scale adventure rig, it's certainly an eye-catching piece.

If you want to dress up the appearance of your own B-17 Betty, Treal has released some new upgrade options that amp up the visual appeal of this rig.

For starters, they've introduced a green color option for their 1.0" (11.2g) aluminum beadlock wheels, priced at $38.98. These wheels feature an internal and external locking connection for a smooth, clean appearance. The face of these wheels sports an 8-hole design with a bright green finish, a perfect accent to the B-17 Betty's color scheme.

To keep the customization flowing, you can upgrade your axle housings to Treal's new aluminum option, which features a green differential cover. Priced at $45.98, These axle housings are made from 7075 aluminum and are available in either a black or raw aluminum finish.

No matter which option you pick, these look like some great upgrades for the SCX24 B-17 Betty, whether it's destined to be a shelf queen or a trail warrior.
