Axial has announced a new model in its ever-expanding SCX24 lineup; the Jeep JT Gladiator. Following in the tire tracks of the SCX24 Jeep Wrangler JLU, this version of the SCX24 features the same solid performance found in its 1/24-scale siblings but also boasts an extended wheelbase and an array of small-scale visual details.
On the performance side, the SCX24 Jeep JT Gladiator features the same ladder-frame chassis and four-link suspension setup as other SCX24 models. To accommodate the longer body of the Gladiator, this SCX24 sports a 6.1″ wheelbase (compared to the 5.2″ wheelbase on the Jeep Wrangler model). An Axial AS-1 servo, Horizon ESC/receiver combo, and Dynamite 88T brushed motor are at the heart of this rig’s crawling and trail performance.
When it comes to visuals, this version of the SCX24 features a hinged body mount system with a hook and loop front mount (instead of an exposed body post). Axial has decked this rig out with a selection of small-scale accessories including a bed-mounted overland rack, sand ladders, jerry cans, and a low-profile Tuff Stuff cargo bin.
Along with the external visuals, the SCX24 Jeep JT Gladiator also includes a detailed interior with a moulded driver figure for true-to-life scale detail. Two body color choices are available for this rig (blue and beige) and both options included silver KMC Machete wheels and pre-mounted Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires.
