Hobbywing QuicRun Fusion Mini16 2-in-1 Motor & ESC
Hobbywing has announced a Fusion brushless 2-in-1 system for 1/16 and select 1/18-scale crawlers. Their QuicRun Fusion Mini16 brings the compact nature of the Fusion Pro and Fusion SE to the world of smaller-scale R/C crawlers, making it a great choice for hobbyists who want to upgrade their rig with a smooth-performing motor and ESC combo that doesn't waste space.
Designed for 1/16 and some 1/18-scale crawlers (like the Axial UTB18 Capra), this motor and ESC combo offers smooth performance, multiple drive modes, and an array of adjustment options to let you tune your motor to suit your driving style and conditions.
The Fusion Mini16 features a 3000kv, 4-pole brushless motor paired with an integrated ESC. Like its larger cousins, this setup utilizes FOC (Field-Oriented Control), allowing constant wheel speed while crawling over obstacles.
Using Hobbywing's LED Program Card or Multifunction LCD Program Box, you can tune the settings on QuicRun Fusion Mini16 to your liking. Additionally, you can adjust drag brake settings on the fly thanks to a dedicated signal wire that will plug into an auxiliary port on your receiver.
I have first-hand experience with the QuicRun Fusion and QuickRun Fusion SE in several of my 1/10-scale vehicles, and love the smooth performance and low-input crawling that this motor and ESC provide. I can only imagine how well this system will perform in something like the UTB18 Capra or possibly one of Element RC's Enduro12 models.
The QuicRun Fusion Mini16 2-in-1 is priced at $59.99 and is available through Hobbywing and its dealers. Learn more about this brushless motor setup at hobbywingdirect.com.
