While scale realism may be all the rage the unmistakable style of the original R/C crawler hasn’t been forgotten. ECX has refreshed it’s 1/18-scale rock crawler with the Temper Gen 2.
Taking the original design of their Temper and pushing it further, the Temper Gen 2 features a mid-motor design, four-link suspension, and a new body design.
Powered by a brushed, 380-sized motor, the Temper Gen 2 rolls on 1.7″ wheels and 4.3″ tires. The tires feature a deep tread design and appear to be designed for the gnarliest of terrain.
Shedding its one-piece body in favor of a multi-plate, multi-material (polycarbonate and aluminum) body, this version of the Temper features an aggressive beauty with eye-catching features. Two color options are available (silver/yellow or silver/blue) with each option featuring matching beadlock rings.
While the steering servo is waterproof, the rest of the electronics are not. Also included in this ready-to-run (RTR) package is a 2.4GHz radio system and 900mah NiMh battery pack.
