Fair RC FCX24M Highland Roader Mod RTR

By: Tim Gluth

When FMS released its FCX24M Land Rover Camel Trophy Edition lineup, I wondered what these rigs would look like as "everyday drivers." Thankfully, Fair RC has answered that by offering several modded versions of these 1/24-scale Land Rovers.

One of their latest is the 1/24 Highland Roader Mod, a ready-to-run (RTR) based on the FCX24M Land Rover Range Rover. This modded rig sports a classic green finish and the removal of many of the Camel Trophy edition's rugged racks save for its brush guard.

In addition to the fresh coat of paint, the 1/24 Highland Roader is rolling on a set of Batrazzi 0.8" Aluminum 4-slot Weighted Wheels and Batrazzi Country Claw A/T Tires.

The core of this rig remains the same, with its straight axles, two-speed transmission, flip-open body mount, and LED lights all carried over from the stock FCX24M.
