Testing Out the Traxxas 2-Speed Transmission for the TRX-4M [Video]

I was able to find some time (and decent weather) to get my freshly upgraded TRX-4M Bronco with Traxxas 2-Speed Transmission out for a test drive. While this transmission upgrade doesn't offer a remote-shifting option, it's a nice change of pace to be able to swap between low and high-speed gears whenever the need arises.

The two-speed transmission is a bit nosier than the stock 1-speed transmission, but it's not annoyingly loud. Performance from both the low-speed and high-speed gear sets is good, although I felt that the throttle response was a bit "soft." I'm not sure if I had the ESC set to "Crawler" mode, so that's something that I'm going to look at in the future.

At any rate, this is a nice upgrade and gives your TRX-4M a little more versatility between crawling and trail driving.
