Axial SCX24 Base Camp RTR
Who's ready for another SCX24 model? Axial has announced its latest 1/24-scale crawler, aimed at those new to the small-scale crawling world (or pros who want a low-cost-of-entry model to start tinkering with). Say hello to the SCX24 Base Camp.
The spitting image of its 1/10-scale cousin, this scaled-down SCX24 Base Camp features a lightweight polycarbonate body with a rear-hinge mounting system and a hook-and-loop front mount to keep the body lines clean and free from external clips. With licensed Demello Offroad front and rear bumpers, this rig looks good, no matter what angle you're looking at.
Three body color options are available to choose from; white, blue, and pink. Capping off its visual details, this small-scale rig rolls on licensed Falken Wildpeak M/T tires mounted to licensed Black Rhino one-piece wheels.
Under the body, the SCX24 Base Camp uses a ladder-frame chassis with steel c-frame rails, nylon chassis and steering links, and nylon front and rear axle housings. The front and rear diffs use metal worm gears, giving this rig solid durability and dependability on various types of terrain.
Keeping in line with other SCX24 models, this rig is powered by an 88T brushed motor and Spektrum electronics. Full ball bearings throughout the chassis help ensure this tiny truck will roll smoothly, no matter where you're driving.
This ready-to-run (RTR) model includes a 2.4GHz radio transmitter, a 2S LiPo battery, and a USB battery charger.
