Losi has proudly taken up the banner of being the R/C brand with a passion for motorsport. With several racing-related models to their name, their latest release is another welcome surprise for fans of stock car racing.
The 1/12 Losi Asphalt Late Model RC Car follows squarely in the tire tracks of the Losi NASCAR R/C car, but puts a short track spin on the platform, with a late model-styled Chevrolet body, tires, and wheels.
Based on the vehicles run in the Cars Tour Late Model Series, this 1/12-scale, all-wheel-drive radio-controlled racer looks like a great way for 1:1 racing fanatics to get their racing fix whenever and wherever they want.
Featuring two color schemes run by NASCAR Hall of Famer, Dale Earnhardt Jr., you can choose from the #8 Sun Drop Chevy Late Model, or the #8 Budweiser Chevy Late Model race car as your pavement-pounding R/C ride.
Under the body, you'll find the same chassis setup and powerplant used in the Losi NASCAR RC Car lineup, with a minor, and much-appreciated, change to the body mounting setup.
Gone are the traditional body posts and body pins, replaced by a push-button front mount that keeps exerior of these cars clean and looking as realistic as possible.
Capping off the visual details on these cars are replica Hoosier racing tires mounted on replica Wide 5 wheels.
These ready-to-run racers include a 2.4GHz radio transmitter, a Spektrum 2S LiPo battery, and a USB LiPo battery charger.
