Hobby Plus Begins its Go-Fast Era with the Speck-B 1/24-scale Buggy
It's arrived! The first go-fast, small-scale model from Hobby Plus has been released, and it looks like it's packing some impressive features (and fun). Known for their 1/24 and 1/18-scale crawlers and trail trucks, their Speck-B 1/24 Buggy is a new path for Hobby Plus to explore.
Designed for fun and friendly competition, the Speck-B Buggy features a modern R/C buggy design, complete with a sleek body shape, a tub chassis, and pin-tread tires, to give hobbyists a new option for radio-controlled fun.
This two-wheel drive buggy is equipped with oil-filled front and rear shocks that can be tuned to improve performance. An 030-size, 63T brushed motor serves as the power for the Speck-B, and it's paired with a Flysky 2-in-1 ESC/receiver that's capable of handling 2S LiPo batteries.
It's worth mentioning that you can upgrade the motor in this model as it supports brushed motors up to 050 size, as well as brushless, 1626 size inrunner motors.
Capping off the Speck-B 1/24 Buggy is its polycarbonate body, which uses a clipless mounting system and is available in two color options (Vintage Cream and Razor Orange).
